Question: Will my acne ever go away?
I’m nearly eighteen, and I have had pretty bad acne for just about eight years. The sort where my face is bleeding each day, painful, and I look kind of like someone dunked my head in boiling oil. I’m so sick of it. Sometimes, I wish I could just die. Will it ever go away? I’ve tried everything from herbal remedies to over the counter medications to antibiotics and birth control, but I’m still a red, bloody monstrosity. Does acne end for people like me? My family states so, but they’re just worried about my sanity. I don’t believe them. I want an honest, third-party answer, you know? Will there ever be a day when I can look at myself and not want to rip my own face off?
I have been to *many* (might I say, rather useless) dermatologists, yes. Got antibiotics (fail) and then birth control (also fail, even though at least my cramps don’t suck anymore

I guess I’ll just hope my (naturally-lacking) sanity holds out until my mid-twenties…

Most acne does clear up by the early twenties. Even superior news is that acne scars can be greatly reduced with laser treatment, which is getting cheaper and cheaper as time goes on. Have you been to a dermatologist? They might have a treatment to reduce your acne.
