I know its not on your list but my girlfriend just found a product called nu skin that cleared her up completely and got rid of her oily skin. I don’t remember the name of the exact product but I know its made by nu skin, so if you google that it should be easy to find.

I recommend Neutrogena because its not rough on your skin like some of the other brands.

Anything that has the word “oil” in it (other than “oil free” or “no oil”) is NOT a good thing to put on your face. Anything with oil in it is going to make your skin even oilier. Trust me on this.

I would stick with Clean and Clear, but even that isn’t exactly nice to your skin. If you use too much medicated stuff (like Neutrogena or Clean and Clear) then you run the risk of irritating your skin, or “stripping” it. By this I mean that you take too much oil off, causing your skin to overproduce oil to make up for it, thus giving you not only irritated skin, but also an oil slick on your face. You just want to clean your face… not totally take everything off. Don’t use bar soap for this same exact reason– it is TERRIBLE for your face. (Fine for your body, very bad for your face.)

If you want to use Clean and Clear or Neutrogena, by all means, give it a shot. But don’t overuse it. (I quit using Neutrogena because it was making my skin oilier– and that happened all of a sudden when I was 23ish.) I’d use it just once a day, and then make any further face washing a plain, gentle cleanser. (Not soap, nothing medicated.)

Same goes with stuff like Oxy or other acne creams/washes. Using too much can severely irritate your skin. (My sister’s face turned bright red for several days because of Oxy cream and her acne wash… which contained the same active ingredient.)

I use Cetaphil, myself. It’s simple and in a lower price range ($8-10 a bottle, but I get econopacks at BJs or Sam’s Club). It takes most of the oil off of your face without completely stripping it. They do make generic store-brand versions. I’ve seen it at Target.

Wash your face at least twice a day with a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil. (I’m not a company rep, honest…) I would wash in the morning and before bed.

If you do need a touch up during the day, go get some makeup wipes (like Ponds, or generic) to wipe off some of the excess oil. This has been a godsend at my old job where the warehouse-type building would overheat and cause me to sweat like crazy, and also produce lots of oil.
