what type of herbs can be put in soap for acne?
Question: what type of herbs can be place in soap for acne?
My mom makes soap as a hobby. And i was just wondering if theres any type of herbs/liquids (like tea tree oil ect.) that could be place in the soap to help with the acne. i have it on my face, chest, shoulders, and back. and i would state on a scale from 1-10 (10 being worst) im about at an 8. so any help would be much appreciated.

Hey, Sarah Here,
Aloe, definitely.
Special soaps do not treat acne very well.
Just use baby soap and ask your doctor for the following:
– A night time face-applied gel that is alcohol based and contains tretinoin and erythromycin (start on lower concentrations and move up to higher gradually).
– Antibiotics for acne (pref. sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim
—— or just tell your doctor you have acne and he might conclude those two drugs on his own
I wouldn’t use tea trea oil as it might dry out your skin too much and cause further imbalances in the oils.
Make sure you don’t eat sugar in excess (as inconfectioneryy, or sugar in teas), and drink plenty of water.
I think your new love will be turmeric. Its easy to get your hands on and very useful for this prblem. Its been used for years becasue it works so well. Hope it helps you in your battle =)
vitamin E is apparently good for scarring, but i dont know if that could go in soap?
alovera
Hi Goarge,
Here is some info that might help.
The watery gel from Aloe Vera plant is a highly effective natural cure against Acne. The enzyme-rich gel has very soothing anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It can also be taken internally and helps clean up and detox the digestive tract. This in turn can help clear up the skin.
Gel or juice of Aloe Vera is highly useful in fading of acne scars. You can grow Aloe Vera plant in your home and apply freshly taken pure Aloe Vera gel to your scar. Otherwise many branded cosmetic companies manufactures pure Aloe Vera gel, so you can choose the best cosmetic companies to get Aloe Vera gel.
Vitamin A is also a natural and effective Acne cure. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin.
Vitamin E also helps in countering Acne. It is a natural antioxidant and beneficial for the skin.
Tea Tree Oil is obtained from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree from Australia. It is very effective against Acne as it contains bacteria-fighting substances called Terpenes. Acne is often caused by bacteria and the Terpenes either outright kill them or weaken them enough to be destroyed by protective antibodies. There are very little side effects from using Tea Tree Oil.

Antibacterial foaming washes, scrubs, and soap bars are available in many shapes and sizes. Some contain
benzoyl peroxide, others have salicylic acid and some have
triclosan, an antibacterial chemical cleanser that removes
excess sebaceous secretions.
None of them hang around on your skin long enough to do
much to help your acne. To make them more effective, leave
them on for at least 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing them off.
