Question: What are some good acne products and natural remedies for my acne?
Ok so I’m 13 and I’ve just started breaking out for no reason. I have 6 pimples/white heads (can’t really tell) and clogged pores. It’s not severe or anything but noticeable since my face is usually clear. My skin is normal but I think it’s sensitive since I easily break out after I place a bit makeup on. Please give me some products and natural remedies and list your skin type and how harsh your acne is. And if you can, give me some products that worked over night. And a good facial scrub to clear my skin and keep in glowing and bright. Thank you =)
List of Products I’ve used
Neutrogena wave (worked for me but kinda stopped after a while.)
Clean and Clear acne stick (It’s ok but doesn’t work for me anymore.)
Aveeno Clear Complexion (didn’t make much of a difference.)
Clinique Spot healing gel (was stupid)
Toothpaste (nope. Nothing happened.)
I will see a dermatologist.
But for now, I’d like to see what I can also do for my skin by myself.

buy clearisil, cetaphil, and, clearisil quick wipes use them every morning and night. Try not to eat as much sugar, I do it and it really works
I’ve had the same problem. I’ve tried Pro-Activ, on top of several other products. The only one that seems to work is Benzagel 5. You can order it in at most pharmacies, and if it doesn’t work, there’s a stronger version called Benzagel 10 that you’ll need a doctor’s note to get. That’s if your acne is really bad.

Buy African Black Soap on Ebay. Do NOT buy the kind that is actually black and looks like a regular bar of soap. But the weird chunky brownish kind.
It’s about $7.95 for a 1/2 lb of the soap and shipping is like $4.00 for it. It is 100% Organic, 100% Vegan and contains no chemicals. It’s awesome for oily/acne prone skin and also for wrinkles. You can use it on your face, hair, and body and it will not dry you out.
I am starting to feel like a saleswoman for black soap, but honestly I’ve used damn near everything there is and black soap is better than even the $50-$70 kits and such.
And while you are breaking out us Mineral Make up foundation. It doesn’t clog pores, is chemical free, and will cover the worst zits. It’s about $10 at Rite Aid or Wal Mart for the L’Oreal brand.
That’s your best bet to prevent more break-outs. Never use liquid makeup if you’re acne-prone. They’re greasy and make oily skin look shinier.
I’m half way through puberty, and so far this sort of stuff has really helped me.

Botanical spot treatments (usually sold in Boots, pharmasists etc)

salycic acid and benzoyl peroxide works for some. It reddens my skin up to rosacea level and makes any zit turn to Volcano on steroid zit.
Wash pillowcase more often if sleeping with hair products in your hair. Or wash and rinse hair at night. Shower rest of yourself in the morning.
I’m 15 and I’ve tried basically everything. The only product that works for me you can buy at the pharmacy is Clearasil. It’s not expensive and it actually works. Buy the cleansing pads and the facial wash.
Home Remedies that work great are:
Egg White Mask:
It reduces pore size, cheap, evens out your complexion, makes your face soft, glowing, and reduces redness.
Directions:
Crack open an egg and remove the yolk. You can save it and use it as a night moisturizer, but it makes me breakout. After removing the yolk mix the egg white until you see bubbles. Apply it to your face for 20-30 minutes or until dry then wash off with cold water to close your pores.
Strawberry Juice Mask:
Evens out your complexion, makes your face soft, reduces pore size, and is cheap.
Directions:
Mash up a couple strawberries very well and mix in some sour cream.
Rub the mask all over your face and leave on for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water.
Cucumber Mask:
Evens out your complexion, makes your skin soft, acne scars are less visible, reduces pore size, keeps acne away and is cheap.
Directions:
Rub a cucumber all over your face and leave on for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water. You can also leave it on overnight.
Lemon Juice:
Reduces pore size, evens complexion, takes the redness out, keeps acne away, makes acne scars less visible, easy to use.
Directions:
Squeeze a lemon into a bowl. Rub it all over your face and leave on overnight. When you wake up wash your face with cold water and re-apply more before you put on foundation so you wont break out during the day.
Please never pop zits. My face just got clear of acne and blackheads but I have stupid acne scars. I’m addicted to popping. I’d promise myself not to pop, but before I know it I have my fingers there applying pressure and I cant take my hands away. It’s just good to never start! I’ve finally stopped, but I’m still battling the scars.
I just recently broke out, due to that time of the month. I honestly think it was because I decided to stop using clearasil to try my other acne products and the next day of using the other acne products I broke out. So when you find a product that works, don’t stop using it!

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.
I don’t have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.
