Stubborn facial acne?
Question: Stubborn facial acne?
I’m a 22yr old male that has been struggling with acne for a long time now. It’s absolutely not anything severe, but my face is never close to being clear either. I always have at least a minimum of 3 massive sized pimples along with the usual 10-30 small ones. The reason I ask on here is that I have been home much of this week & decided to really work on clearing my face (washing it twice a day, applying different products, make sure not to touch my face, sleeping on my back, etc) and what I have noticed is that the sides of my face, forehead, and mouth are all a bit more clear than usual, but I’m getting VERY LARGE ones in places I don’t normally get them.. edge of my ear, the tip of my nose, edge of my nostril etc. So I’m thinking the medicine and cleansers I’m using are working to a point, but they aren’t PREVENTING any new ones from reappearing somewhere that I missed with the topical cream!
Here’s a list of things I’ve tried that DID NOT work:
-Tetracycline (antibiotic)
-Benzaclin
-Differin
-Proactive
-Zeno
-Burt’s Bee (herbal)
-Bye Bye Blemish
-Clean & Clear
-Neutrogena
-Mint Julep
-Triple antibiotic lotion
-Antibacteria soap
-Mint Julep
-Egg Yolk
-Clearasil
-Oxy cleanser
-Shaving more/less
-All kinds of different soap
-I consume healthy & water is the beverage I drink 99% of the time
Any advice on how I can get rid of this stubborn acne would be great! I think I’ve about had it with topical stuff, and the antibiotics messed up my intestines to the point where I had surgery. Is there any other way I can get rid of the stubborn acne and prevent future breakouts? Thanks in advance for detailed and well thought out answers. =)

Eat healthy, plenty of vitamin c. Go to a dermatologist. They should be ready to help. Don’t try too many different things. Once you try something, stick to it for about a month so it can work to it’s fullest potential.

Hey, Sarah Here,
Can’t tell by your question, but have you tried going to a doctor? I did and got some pills to take, and a few prescriptions that worked out well for me. If you havn’t I would check it out, or maybe try a different doctor.
HI Style and Ease
Here are a few testimonials on how to heal the issue.
EUCALYPTUS OIL
11/24/2007: Vinny (highbury21@gmail.com) from Atlanta, GA writes: “A quick, cheap, & healthy way to prevent and heal acne (even blackheads) is to use Eucalyptus Aromatherapy Oil. A big bottle is about $8-9 and can be found at GNC. Make sure you dilute it with water as it is very potent like other oils. You should have very good success with this and should notice HUGE differences within a day.”
APPLE CIDER Vinegar AND ALOE VERA FOR ACNE
10/04/2007: Martha from Lawrenceville, GA writes: “I’ve always had trouble with acne — I could never get my skin completely under control. ACV helped — taking it internally — but I still broke out in a monthly cycle. I started using aloe vera gel on my face a few weeks ago, and my skin has cleared up dramatically. I’ve not had one breakout, and my skin is getting to be so pretty! I just use a generic aloe vera gel that I picked up in WalMart.”
COCONUT OIL AND ALOE VERA FOR ACNE
10/03/2007: Jennifer from Kirkland, Washington writes: “I have been using a mixture of coconut oil and aloe vera gel (4:1 ratio) on my face for my acne for only 2 weeks and it has almost completely cleared it up. I have had moderate to severe acne since I was 13 (I am now 37), and have tried everything under the sun to diminish it. Some things have helped more than others, but this is the first time my skin has felt so good and looked so good in almost 25 years

Dude this is what my dermatologist recommended for my facial acne which isn’t bad only 4-5 little dots on my forehead but quite a bit on my back.He prescribed me this Oscion Cleanser which i use once everyday in the shower i just rub it on my back and where ever the acne is let it sit for about 1 minute and rinse it off. Then also he prescribed me this Minocycline Capsules 100mg 1 a day and i’ve been using it for about 3 weeks and the acne has really cleared up.At first the acne gets a tiny bit worse but then in a couple days the medicine targets all the acne instead of the old ones and there you go no acne. But give it time atleast a month and a half my dermatologist said but it worked for me in 3 weeks.Ask your doctor about it.
