Should I continue taking Chinese herbal medicine for acne?
Question: Should I keep taking the Chinese medicine herbal acne? My mother took me to see a Chinese physician for my acne. And we purchased some herbal medcine was basically random things to boil and drink. $ 80 was a week worth of the medicine. After the first week, my skin was the same if not worse, but when we state again how much superior it looked and continue taking it. After the second week looked a tiny better. My mother states we should move a bit to see if it works, basically, who wants to stop taking it. At first I was skeptical, but hope that would work and now, after $ 160 in this do not know if I keep going to see if it works or cut their losses and let go. Greatest answer:

So you have no theory what you are taking, if it is clean and unpolluted, so their effects are, whether or not is proven to work, what side effects and risks, and given to you by someone with no medical training probably real? Cut to the chase and see a physician verdad.Es good to see that are skeptical of the road. Question everything, including his real doctor.

Hey, Sarah Here,
No herbal remedy can help with acne. Consider the fact that the Chinese people used so called Traditional Chinese Medicine for years and lived to about 40 years old. Now whenever they can afford it they use real medicine (called Western Medicine by the ignorant) and live to over 70 years old. You’re being scammed and it sounds like you know it, stop with the quack and see a real doctor. You don’t want to have scars forever as a reminder of your foolish use of herbs. Just because you’ve wasted some money doesn’t mean you should waste more hoping that it works.
If you are unsure of the effectiveness of any alternative remedy, you should consider whether it is worth the cost.
Personally, I would use Aloe Vera – but that’s because I was introduced to Aloe Vera before any Chinese remedies. With Aloe Vera, you can drink or apply it topically.
There are some excellent acne cures available that have an almost 100% success rate, there’s no need to suffer or get ripped off with fake herbal cures!
Go and see a properly qualified medical doctor who can diagnose and prescribe the correct treatment.
That fact that you are spending so much money is ironic. Alternative medicine was supposed to be this ’stick it to the greedy doctors/pharma’ kind of deal, but for 160 dollars you could’ve seen a doctor AND gotten a prescription of antibiotics for way less. Antibiotics work, and they are cheaper than that 80 bucks your mom chucked out.
Acne can get better and worse. Assuming it is the herbal medicine makes sense, but it probably was just your body’s immune system doing its job. Left untreated, acne, will go away or get worse or ebb and flow. I’m not seeing anything compelling about this that would warrant continuing to take herbs that 1) have side effects that may be known or unknown 2) cost more than pharmaceuticals used to treat the same thing and 3) are not regulated for saftey by the FDA – herbal drugs have been taken off the shelves after being found to contain toxic levels of lead (contamination I guess).
Alternative medicine is everything and more that the alt-med proponents level at Big Pharma and doctors. It is a multi-billion dollar industry, it has successfully lobbied for the kind of quality control immunity that Big Pharma could only wish it had, and actually does not work as advertised.
Your mom is wasting money, which would be used on food, rent, etc. The Chinese medicine provider is ripping her off.
I don’t know what herbs they are prescribing you, but that sounds ridiculously overpriced for herbs alone.
Barring some complex 30+ component formula, the raw format prescriptions should not be that expensive. Unless they threw in everything, plus the kitchen sink, it sounds hugely overpriced…
I’d recommend using Hydroviton CR which is a medicated cleanser that contains organic micro-spheres that penetrate to the deepest layers of the skin to deeply moisturize, while at the same time removing toxins, bacteria, and regulating sebum production. It is the ideal cleanser for acne sufferers that provides immediate results.
