Question: Rosacea and Marvel Mini?
Background: Current rosacea outbreak—worse I have ever had. I’m on Metrolotion. My dermatologist can’t see me for another month (love that HMO). Tried 3 different antibiotics, could not tolerate any—willing to discuss another with the doc when I see her.

Question: In the meantime, I was looking at the Marvel Mini home light therapy device. Anyone with experience? Blue is supposed to be for acne, but would that work for rosacea?

Another question: Also, hmmm…what about using all 3 (red, green, blue) since I am in my forties and have age spots, too. Rosacea is my biggest concern, but would it be harmful to use all 3?

This makes it sound like my skin is a wreck, but honestly, I get compliments a lot on my complexion–when it’s looking good, it looks really good but this latest outbreak was actually painful (physically and psychologically).

Aside: no need to tell me about prevention: I know all about triggers and this time this trigger could not be avoided as it was a stressful trip via plane combined with monthly hormones.

Hiya, I’ve had rosacea, on and off, for years. I don’t like the anti-biotic reliance, even though it works.

Since late last year, I’ve found that the odd 6 minutes on a sunbed has shown great improvements. Not enough to look like a mahogany table, just weekly or less. I haven’t changed anything else so I’m attributing it to the sunbed. I’ve had fewer outbreaks ever since. No theory why it should work when direct sun is a trigger. Maybe give it a go?
