You might want to try Nature’s Cure. A month’s supply is about $20 at a typical grocery store like Fred Meyer or Albertsons. I saw it one day while I was buying face wash and it REALLY helped me out.
Another thing is, if you can, go in a sauna for about 20 min. a day. Or boil water on the stove and let the steam brush up on your face until you begin to sweat.
Nature’s cure worked really well for me (takes about a week or two to kick in), and then my mom bought a sauna. The sauna totally kicked my skin into overdrive and now i’m finally zit-free!

Most times acne is caused by the foods you eat and or the stress in your life. My advice is to start out soaking your face with a hot compress (not to hot to burn yourself but warm enough to open your pores) such as a damp wash cloth. Then make sure you cut out any fatty foods you may be consuming. My basic philisophy is if it leaves grease on your fingers when you pick it up, you probably shouldn’t eat it. Also if you eat salads, if you can’t see through the dressing it isn’t digesting. To avoid stress take an hour out everyother day to relax in a hot bath. Avoid any harsh chemicals that may contain alcohol on your face.

I really hope this helps. I know this last part sounds weird but,
I have also heard of both males and females taking birth control. I took birth control from the time I was 12 years old and I have NEVER had one pimple in my entire life. And I’ve also had friends that started birth control and it took the acne away within 2 weeks.

Good luck I know growing up is hard!

There are four good ways to make acne go away that don’t involve medications:
    1) Bathe and wash your face often–
Acne is caused by a bacteria, Acne Vulgaris, that lives on the skin of your face and feeds on the oily secretions of your pores, called Sebum. If you wash your face often, the sebum is washed away and the acne bacteria don’t have any food.
    2) Use warm washcloth compresses–
Warm water on the pimples themselves can often decrease their size and allow the pus to drain faster.
    3) Get lots of sleep and reduce stress–
Part of acne is related to your body’s immune response to the acne bacteria. Getting lots of sleep, reducing your stress levels, and keeping your body (and by extension, your immune system) in tip-top shape will help reduce your acne and make you feel better, too!
    4) Let time pass–
A natural side effect of puberty’s hormonal changes is an increase in sebum production, and therefore an increase in acne. Aprox. 80-90% of teenagers experience some degree of acne during puberty. The good news is that puberty doesn’t last forever, and after a while, sebum production will decrease again, and your acne should decrease as well.

Two caveats to that list, however:
    1) Acne can cause scarring–
If your acne is very severe, I strongly suggest a trip to a dermatologist. For some reason, many people are hesitant to visit them because they put skin care low on their list of medical priorities. Acne, if left untreated, may cause facial scarring that won’t be easy to get rid of (naturally, or otherwise!) later in life. You dermatologist might even have some suggestions for natural remedies for acne that you could use.
    2) Be extremely wary of extreme measures–
NEVER put ANYTHING into your body (“natural” or otherwise) to treat a medical condition without consulting your doctor. That goes double for prescription medications that aren’t designed (or prescribed to you) for acne control. Drugs, and even some herbal medicines, are serious things, and can cause serious damage. You should do research on any herbal remedies you decide to try, and make sure that you check your symptoms and keep careful track of what you’re taking, how long you’ve been taking it, and when your plan to stop taking it is.

Acne is tough because it is so visible. Try and be okay with the way you look, acne or not, because that more than anything will help you in the long run.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a doctor. See your doctor if you have any concerns about your health.

Acne can be embarrassing at the best of times. I would try going into a site called Epinions.com and find out what users are saying about various products. Good hygene which involves regular bathing helps a lot. Good internal health is a major contributor to healthy skin. Consider going to see a wholistic health professional, they have some great supplements. Try and stay away from the junk foods. I’ve also had good luck with a product called Acnezine. Below are a couple of articles I found you might find helpful. All the best!
