Question: Natural remedies for acne/acne solutions?
Ok, i have a moderate amount of acne on my face. It’s pretty bad though, as it’s very noticeable. Well, I used to use proactiv for over 3 months but i had no results so i purchased the clean and clear advantage kit, which i currently use. i also use hydrogen peroxide on my huge pimples (recommended by my friends), and that works pretty good too. so now i want to know any other fast ways of clearing my skin. like, is there anything i can make (natural remedies), or any dietary tips i should do? i do not want to purchase another “kit” or anything, as i’ve boughtten so many treatments that i cant even remember (i used to use some small neutrogena kits but never the skin id). id appreciate any help. thank you

Well, it’s not really a natural remedy, but if you get antibiotics, they work miracles. My brother always had problems with his acne and it cleared up absolutely while he was on them.

best natural thing I’ve tried is getting a really good shower head. You know the kind you can twist to make different types of streams come out? Get one that has a jet-stream and run the stream over your face. It will exfoliate your skin and make it feel smooth as a baby’s bum without adding chemicals that can dry you out. Be careful around your eyes, and plug your nose because water will get in!
Also if you run the jet stream over your teeth it does a good job of cleaning your teeth too! Double bonus!
I suffer from acne on my back and have been given antibiotics called oxytetracycline and it seems to be doin the job. I’ve had acne for 10 years now. This antibiotic stops the production of bacteria in the skin so the spots that re already there dry up. I also found in th emeantime wiping a solution of dettol on the area and then some talc really helped as it dried out the spots, at night this really helps as thats whenur body produces the most oil and sweat. also if u are going to use a moisturiser dont bother with medicated stuff the best one i found was the simple range as there is nothing in tehm to agrivate the skin, Dont wash ur face too much either twice a day should be enough otherwise the skin will produce too much sebum. Some people say it’s a myth, but I think avoiding chocolate and other fatty foods can help. My mom says putting turmeric on your face can help. I’ve tried it but it didn’t do anything, maybe it was just me.
I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I’ve used tea tree oil (also called Melaleuca oil) with success. Just a little dab will do it, too much can irritate skin.
