Question: My mom is a hypochrondriac?
I just had my first minor outbreak of hives. They aren’t as bad as how most people would have then; mine are only on my hands and really aren’t that itchy (I’ve seen a physician and he told me to just move a few days for them to pass, nothing too serious). But my mom is convinced that I have some sort of psycho-disease.
Granted, no one in our family has ever had hives before, but my mom’s still a bit of a dogmatic Asian herbalist when it comes to medicine. She wants me to take what she calls “Chinese herbal cream” that’s supposed to help with boils and acne (to treat my hives) and tried to force me into going to an acupuncturist.
How do I get her off my back?

Tell her your would feel more comfortable going to a medical physician to see if it is actually a problem then if it is take some of her advice for treatment.
