Hey, Sarah Here,
A fantastic beginners book on homeopathy that includes lots of condition/remedy information is in Asa Hershoff, ND’s book “Homeopathic Remedies, A Quick and Easy Guide to Common Disorders and their Homeopathic Treatments”. There are at least a dozen major remedies, however you need to go through the remedy distinctions based on your particular skin condition to find the right one. Everyone is not the same, and their condition is not identical.
Accutane has terrible side effects, including liver disease. Not a good trade-off.
If homeopathy didn’t work, it would have died an ignominius death a long time ago. Instead it’s the second largest medical system of practise in the world and growing. Another great book is Dana Ullman, MPH’s book “The Homeopathic Revolution”.
Homeopathy is worthless.
Some herbs might contain an ingredient that could do something, but a quick searched turned up nothing backed by evidence..
Homoeopathy doesn’t work, so lets get that out of the way. Have a look at this link, in particular the answer given my Gary Y. It’s a good rebuttal.

I think tea tree oil is considered herbal isn’t it? That might work, you could try it. Accutane is actually the last resort option to acne management, it is a harsh drug and there are a higher risk of side effects. In the UK it’s a hospital drug only.
If topical preparations aren’t working then the tetracycline antibiotics, used in conjunction with Benzoyl peroxide, tends to work very well. Of course when you stop using it, there is always the risk of relapse.
EDIT
Just to be perfectly clear, thenoseknows, knows nothing.
Listen to Skep and Rhianna on this one.
Homeopathy is bunk……pretending it is old therefore it must work is the “appeal to tradition” fallacy, which shares things like voodoo for similar worthlessness.
If it works, it’s called medicine. If it doesn’t work, it’s used by scammers to fleece the gullible. Don’t get scammed!
Good answers from SkepDoc and Rhi. Nothing to add but just wanted to emphasize that homeopathy is not gonna work for your acne.
Not sure about the first two, but eliminating dairy from the diet will help. See this link, and also ignore the conventional drug industry people up here, who all talk alike and have nothing to offer.
