Question: Has anyone tried Vitex (chasteberry) for symptoms similar to pmdd and adult acne? (or pcos)?
My labs show that I am in perfect health except for slightly low progesterone levels (but my adrenal glands were fine as well). It seems like my symptoms just get worse as I get older (late 20’s). I was prescribed Loestrin 24 FE, but I am terrified of getting blood clots. I read about a lot of people that were young non-smokers that almost died from them because of the BCP, including Loesestrin.

I’m just looking for information about success or failure with Vitex or other herbal/vitamin remedies to level mood and decrease hormonal acne. I’ve read about the claims of benefits of Vitex, but have not found many reviews for these particular symptoms.

I just purchased vitex! This past weekend and I heard it’s really good! Especially if you have a irregular period ( like me) so I can’t really tell you if works cuz I’m barely taking it but according to my mom( a nurse) states it’s superior than take any other medication the physician could give you
