Exploring the Link Between Acne and Diet

I find it hard to accept that, in this day and time, health professionals continue to tell us that diet and acne have no relationship. Your acne is forming because your body is overloaded with either chemicals or hormones (or, both) and is getting rid of the excess in sebum oil, the root of all acne. Adding more chemicals and hormones that might be in your food only adds fuel to the fire.

Your first acne breakout probably occurred during your early teenage years. During this time, your hormone production runs wild and your body reacts by sending the excess out through your skin in sebum oil. The presence of too much sebum on your skin is the first stipulation for pimple formation.

Now, if you’re already overloaded with hormones, does it make any sense to add more fuel to the fire? Any dairy product that you might consume will do just that. A easy glass of milk will dump 59 different hormones into your system. Any decent acne diet will stress the elimination of dairy from your diet.

If your acne follows you into your adult years, the probable cause is a low tolerance for chemicals that are used in processed foods. Your body reacts to these chemicals the same way that it did for the excessive hormones in your teen years. Your body then begins sending the toxins out in sebum oil, starting your acne formation.

Effective diets for acne will eliminate chemical full processed foods from your diet in order to stop acne formation before it begins.

These examples indicate that, no matter what others might have told you, there is an absolute link between diet and acne. Always remember that the root of your acne is on the inside. To get rid of the outer problem (acne), you must help your body regain the internal equilibrium that is the root of your problem.
