Hey, Sarah Here,
Well, the answer before me isn’t a real polite way to put it, but I have to say that he’s totally correct.
Just because they have the dubious notoriety of being “Chinese” with thousands of years of “Ancient Herbal Healing Therapies” to draw from, doesn’t automatically qualify anything they sell as being above board or even for that matter safe !!
The safest and surest of removing toxins and cleansing your body is to drink loads of WATER. The human body has an incredible ability to cleanse and detoxify itself. Just give it the chance. Its ultimately cheaper too, no actually its FREE !!
I’m positive, the Chinese guy didn’t give it to you for free, now did he ?? These people prey on people’s desire to be healthy and vibrant and lack of knowledge.
You should be drinking at least 8 – 10 glasses of water per day just to stay hydrated !! Also start replacing fluid lost to coffee/tea/sodas and notice the difference !! For each caffeinated drink you have you need to replace it with twice as much water to make up for the water your body will excrete from the caffeine !!
As for your acne, you need to increase your dietary intake of Vit. A. Once eaten beta-carotene is converted to Vitamin A(retinol) in the body when needed. It’s a powerful antioxidant in its own right.
Foods rich in Beta Carotene (Vitamin A) are:- Fish liver oil, liver, carrotts, dark green and yellow vegies, eggs, milk and dairy products, margarine and yellow fruits.
Vitamin A rich foods will keep the outer layers of your tissues and organs healthy, help in the removal of age spots, if you have them, promote growth, strong bones, healthy skin hair, teeth and gums, help treat acne, superficial wrinkles, impetigo, boils, carbuncles, and open ulcers when applied externally.
Also, increase your consumption of fish oils like salmon and tuna or just get yourself a good quality supplement fish oil tablet from the chemist. Just ask the pharmacist to recommend a good quality brand for you to buy. Make sure you buy only high quality fish oils (EPA/DHA) from which heavy metals including mercury and lead have been filtered out. Simply tell him you would like fish oil tablets. Avoid synthetic vitamins as they are very hard to digest.
Fish oils contain the essential fatty acids so needed for healthy beautifull skin. Gorgeous skin needs the good fats in fish and its oils and lots of them. Fish and most other seafoods contain a powerhouse of the beauty-oosting Omega-3 EFAs. Salmon, sardines, tuna, mackerel, snapper and cod are loaded with Omega-3 EFAs, along with dimethylaminoethanol, or DMAE for short. DMAE is a compound found in high levels in anchovies, wild salmon, and sardines and small amounts of it are also naturally produced in the human brain. DMAE increases tone in the skin and helps protect the integrity of cell membranes. Plus, fish has all the protein of beef and less than half the fat. By increasing your intake of these foods containing all the really good oils you will definitely reap the benefits in your complexion.
That’s why Asian people are known for their beautiful complexion, because their diets are high in fish !!
Wow !! I’m sorry I’m went on a bit, I actually could have kept going…….. hehehe …….. bit of a talker I am ……. Hope this info is of some use to you ………..
PEACE & LIGHT
Herbal therapies are a good way to support and detox the body. Try it for a couple of weeks and see what happens. If you perceive benefit, ask them what other herbs they would recommend for you. I respond very well to Chinese herbs, especially when my immune system is unbalanced.
The short answer is yes, Traditional Chinese Medicine is effective. That’s why it has been around for thousands of years.
But before you try a herb for depression, you should have a diagnosis by a qualified TCM practitioner. What is recommended for you may be different for someone else with the same condition.
The diagnosis should be inexpensive and consist of taking your pulse, looking at your tongue and asking some questions.
That probably sounds like it wouldn’t be valid, but when I had it done she knew I had asthma when I was a kid, but grew out of it, of course I never told her anything like that. She mentioned some other things that were spot on as well.
When I went for accupuncture for a bad back, it was 80% better right away, and 100% within a week.
Green Tea is the “Mother of All Teas.” Here’s a little secret about Green Tea. If you were to drink only Green Tea and water for a 40 day period, you’d detoxify your body and probably drop about 10 lbs. That would be drinking nothing else but “Green Tea” and water.
There is a tea called “Detox A.M.” by Celestial Seasonings. It’s an awesome detoxifier that has milk thistle (a liver and skin detoxifer), Sarsaparilla, Dandelion, Echinacea, Red Clover and Hops.
Milk Thistle is an awesome detoxifying herb.
One of my favorites to detoxify with; although I CAN’T STAND the smell, is Ginger Root tea. I also take a bath in Ginger Root. I chop up the Ginger Root that I get at the market and then take a bath in very hot water. YOU’LL SWEAT LIKE NEVER BEFORE.
