Curing acne scars with lemons? Too good to be true?
Question: Curing acne scars with lemons? Too good to be true?
I’ve been reading a ton of articles on Acne Scar removal and the natural cure that i keep seeing is “Lemons”. Applying lemon juice to your face each night will get rid of acne scars…All the reviews ive read stated this actually works! Im curious if it really does.
I don’t think gender matters, but i am a guy and we tend to have more oily skin. and my other concern is im also using clearasil 3 step Solution which is amazing. cleared up my face in 3 days. How would i incorporate “lemon juice technique” while im still using the product? apply before or after i wash my face?

Hey, Sarah Here,
If you’re already using a product like Clearasil, I wouldn’t recommend adding in the lemon juice idea. Lemon is a citrus fruit, so it contains citric acid, which is probably where the idea of it having bleaching qualities comes from (I’ve also heard of people saying lemon can whiten your teeth). Acne products already can be drying to the skin on their own, so putting citric acid on top of that might not be the best idea. If you really want a good cure for acne scarring, you may want to see a dermatologist for a cream called Retin-A, which is designed to help with acne scarring. A product you can get without seeing a dermatologist is called Mederma. That product has an excellent reputation for lightning the appearance of scars, although I can’t say I ever used it personally. I have used Retin-A, but going to a dermatologist and get prescription acne cream can be costly. Mederma is only about $20 for a bottle I believe. I would leave the lemons alone, as the real effect is probably very minimal.
Here look a doctor just told me this a couple months ago the internet is a marketing device (which in a way is true) lots of advirtisments and stuff like…for exmaple “Peachs Help you grow longer toenails!” or….”A cure for cancer”! (no offense for any body that has cancer just a example..) but you never know try to look up some stuff about it i found out some things were fake
good lucks
Lemons will not lighten your skin.
However, it’s always good to have a low Ph (acidic Ph) on your skin. Lemon juice has a lower Ph than orange juice, so lemon juice would be a bit irritating, but you may want to try putting orange juice on your skin… NOT for lightening (Like I said, it won’t work), but for Ph.
If you want to lighten your skin, you need Divine Derriere. It’s the most amazing skin lightening cream, and I’ve tried many! It’s the only one that worked for me, and it lightened my skin in five days! Their site is http://www.divinederriere.com.
