Question: Does anyone here know about chinese medicine?
I was wondering if anyone knew some herbs that were good for wet heat, especially ones that are good for acne, and maybe blood stagnation in the face.
If anyone knows some information about this I would really appreciate some comments! Thanks.

Hey, Sarah Here,
Books on Chinese Medicine can be found in most good book stores or the library. Acne is an inside out situation and not normal. Do some investigation. When i had it as a teen ager, less dairy, less heavy fat helped such as bacon products and special P H balanced soap. Good luck. If it gets really out of control-see a Dermatologist. And do not squeeze-it causes more pimples and acne scars.
I wouldn’t recommend self medicating yourself with chinese medicine. It takes a trained professional to properly balance your Qi system. Please consult with an acupuncturist or oriental medicine doctor.
My best advise is visit a reputable chinese herbalist and get the doctor there to give you an examination. They usually measured your pulse rates and have a look at your conditions and consider the Yin and Yang aspects of your body before they recommend anything.
What chinese medication does is focus on the root of the illness and not just the effects of the illnesses so the acne in your face could be the cause of something else that is imbalance in your body.
Hope that helps!
There is a company called “radiant wonder” on the web and the owner is a trained chinese herbalist. She sells different types of products for different issues. There was one that I used for acne called cinnamon and poria and it stopped the acne, but they may recommend something else for you.
She will ask you a series of questions and will tell you what you need to do for free in addition to her herbal recommendations.
