A lot of people use Lemon Juice. The one in the bottle as a home remedy because it’s inexpensive. Also, from the people on Yahoo!Answers really recommended this procedure and many have said that it “works wonders” “is heaven sent” “amazing” etc etc. I myself am planning on trying that out as well since i’ve observed that a lot of people have said good things about it. I have a few acne scars myself and so after i buy it, i’m going to see for myself =)

BE CAREFULL!!!! You are better off seeking a dermatoligists advice, if not clinical peel, then trying to eradicate scarring yourself with some random batch of chemicals slathered on your face. It can lead to serious problems if not done correctly. Even mild ones! Talk to a doctor before proceeding.

dermatologists always say to exfoliate and hydrate to heal the scars of acne- use sugar and olive oil and massage into your face for like two minutes, then rinse with warm and wash your face.

Chemical peels can be hard on your skin, so be very careful when doing this procedure at home or at an office visit. Chemical peels contain Glycolic acid which can be VERY harsh on someone people’s skin. Everyone reacts differently to peels.

There is one product I have used that can be found at Avon. It’s called “ANEW Clinical Facial Peel”. It’s very gentle but effective. You will feel it tingling when you first use it but you wont get those huge red spots all over face like you would with an office visit peel.

This contains only 10% glycolic acid compared to the 30% doctors use. So it takes a little longer to see results but it’s more gentle on your skin and less harsh.

Dermatologists usually prescribe products that have retinol (this is a peeling agent), or hydroquinone (a skin lightening agent) in them. However, both products do not work well with sun exposure. So use sunscreen or wear a hat when undergoing treatment.
