acne prone skin and olive oil ANSWER PLEASE !?
Question: acne prone skin and olive oil ANSWER PLEASE !?
my sister just got this brand new makeup remover and it didnt work that well so googled natural remdies for makeup removal, and it stated to use extra virgin olive oil, but my sister has acne prone skin, so i was wondering, would that clog her pores and make her breakout? Or will it be okay, as long as she washes her face with face wash after of course. but would the oil make breakouts?

Hey, Sarah Here,
dont go to sleep with it on
Olive oil is great for removing waterproof eye makeup, and left on eyelashes overnight can strengthen them! For face makeup, why not just use a face wash? Neutrogena’s pink grapefruit facial scrub is amazing– I use it every night before bed. Olive oil wouldn’t do any good for getting off face makeup, only eye makeup, so she doesn’t have to worry about breaking out if they only place she puts it is her eyes!
You can use EVOO for removing all face makeup. Google the “Oil Cleansing Method”. It works!
Yeah, I was skeptical like you were too.
The thing about oils like olive oil and almond oil is, the molcules are not small enough to enter your pores & clog it. I have VERY oily, acne prone skin, and for the last month I have used almond oil to remove all my makeup on my face (I do it even if I’m not wearing face makeup that day!). It has made my skin less oilier, and it gets rid of any whiteheads that appear on my t-zone within a day or two! Just tell your sister, not to be afraid to massage your skin with the oil really thoroughly.
Hope this helped!!
Sugar is a preferred exfoliant to salt because it tends not to tear at the skin. When dead skin collects on the surface of skin, it’s important to slough it away. Use oil instead of water if you have dry skin.
The Olive Oil stimulates new cell generation giving the skin a fresh, youthful appearance, tightens and tones the skin with its high concentration of vitamin e and antioxidants, slows the development of wrinkles, creases and signs of aging, softens the skin, reduces infection and is effective in treating burns, has anti-inflammatory properties and alleviates many skin conditions including acne, eczema and psoriasis. Just use very little or it will do more harm than good.

Egg and Honey Skin Firming Mask
Mix one egg with one tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Cover your face with a layer of the mixture and let it dry for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then cool water.
Four-ingredient Firming Mask
