acne pills vs. acne cleansers?
Question: acne pills vs. acne cleansers?
Between acne pills (acutane, herbal) and acne cleansing treatments (proactive, clean and clear), is one superior than the other. I mean, does one have more advantages than the other. For example, would acne pills clear all of your body acne while acne cleansers only work on applied locations? and would one give you a superior complexion than the other?

I’m not exactly sure but the pills are supposed to level up hormones that cause acne I believe. They work from under the skin. And cleansers work outside of the skin and go deeper into the skin to clear acne.

i prefer acne cleansers(clean and clear) because it feels like it works more effectively. their cheaper too!
Well they certainly do both have their pros and cons, but I’d say it would be safer to go with the cleansing treatments if your body isn’t used to oral medication. The side effects on cleansing treatments only affect the areas to which you have applied the product (such as itching, burning, redness, dryness, breakouts, etc), whereas the side effects of oral medication affect your body internally (such as vomiting, headaches, nausea, drowsiness, etc).
As for getting a better complexion, that depends solely on your skin type and what works best for you. I hope I helped!
