Herbs for Acne

Regardless of whether you’re a teenager or a grownup vulnerable to acne, nothing is more serious than a bad spot that usually seems to show up before a very important meeting, or if you’re going on a night out. 2 – Tooth paste is a very effective way to stop spots from wrecking your schedule. Dab a pea size amount of the regular toothpaste (not the gel type) on the pimple before you go to sleep. The next day, the toothpaste should have reduced the spot simply by drying it out. 

3 – Honey, especially Manuka honey is yet another great way to stop spots. Honey has natural anti bacterial properties, so spreading a small amount on a band aid and then putting it on the zit while you are sleeping can help to reduce it.

4 – Eye drops, just like the type you purchase for reducing bloodshot eyes, are also excellent for treating spots, calming a fresh pimple down so it will be less noticeable. These eye drops work by constricting the blood vessel within the eye to reduce redness, and they are capable of doing exactly the same for a nasty pimple.

5 – Witch Hazel & Tea Tree oil both have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, so if you’re prone to spots, keep some in the home and blot some on whenever a spot appears to stop it in its tracks.
